Almost 100% of the students I've worked with in my career have thought that online learning would save them time compared to face-to-face learning.
How does that really work, though?

Your Task:
Work with a partner to create an infographic explaining ONE of the following topics:
- Differences in time management for face-to-face vs. online learning (for students)
- Differences in time management for face-to-face vs. online teaching (for teachers)
- The Best Apps, Extensions, and other Tech Time Management Tools for Online Teaching
- How to make equitable work assignments for face-to-face vs. online teachers (for administrators)
Use Canva to design your infographic, and then send us the link here.
If you're not experienced making infographics, you can find some great examples here.
Along with your infographic, include 3-5 thoughtful questions to provoke thinking among your colleagues, and reply to their answers.
Tips for getting the most out of an online discussion:
- Model good social presence. Let us see your personality. Humor is fine. Pretentius academic language kills the conversation.
- Clearly address the prompt.
- Get us to think more broadly. We want to learn with and from you.
- Make us want to read and reply to what you wrote. For instance, as one of my colleagues pointed out, no one wants to click on "Randall's reponse to #3", so use "sexy" titles.
- Have fun with this.
- Save all of your forum discussions - your posts and replies from others. You'll be surprised at how often they'll lead to new resources for research!
