For those of you who would like your final exams back, I will leave them with Ravshana starting tomorrow (Wednesday, May 17).
Note that I did not mark up you final exams apart from writing your grades on them. So that you can better understand why you received the grade you did, I am providing you with a copy of my answer rubric (attached to this message). Your grades were determined by the extent to which your answers covered the points in this rubric, plus an overall upward curve of roughly a half grade (i.e. if the underlying grade was a B, after curving it would have become a B+).
For those of you who completed the extra credit assignment I have also graded them and included your extra points to reach your overall course grade. You can pick up your extra credit assignment from Ravshana starting from tomorrow (Wednesday, May 17).
Many thanks to all of you for your participation in this class - it was a joy to teach and to work with you. If and when you provide feedback on the course, please take an extra minute or two to write out what things you liked and what things you didn't like in the free-answer boxes (specific readings, topics, teaching methods, things you would have liked to see more or less of). Your feedback will be very useful if the course is offered again.
