You know by now that the key to online distane learning is keeping learners engaged.
You can't give grades based on attendance or behaior or memorizatiion. (All of those can be hacked by bots.) But you can get points for personal interaction, and creative applications.
This is your last post of the course, so show us what you've learned!
Actually, let me change that a bit: Convince us that you've learned!
Make a 10 minute presentation, or a 1,500-word written report that convinces us that you've mastered the objectives of the course! (The time and word-count limits are somewhat flexible, but I don't want a 20-minute video or a 200-word written report.)
Wait! I can't remember the objectives. What are they?
Ah, wise question, young scholar. Prove your ability to pass this class by finding those objectives on our Moodle site. :)
Wait! Should this be a video or a text.
Sigh. Please see the prompt.
Wait! What if I'm not teaching a specific class right now? Or what if I have a situation involving special needs?
The only teachers who don't have learners with special needs are the teachers whose classes are scripted for Hollywood TV and movies. :) We can work with that. If you have special situations that disrupt our learning, let us know about it, and we will try to find an alternative solution.
We've worked with you, and we've seen your ideas. So, show us what you can do! If we had doubts about your abilities, we shared them before this time. We think you can do this! Make us say, "Wow!"
