A 6-credit foundational grammar course designed for NGA Level 3 learners at approximately CEFR B1+ (Pearson NorthStar equivalent). The course develops systematic control of core English grammar through attention to form, meaning, and use. Students work with high-frequency structures needed for accurate communication in everyday and academic contexts, with particular attention to sentence formation, verb tenses, noun phrases, modals, comparison, prepositions, connectors, and basic clause structures. Through controlled practice, contrastive work, and guided production, students develop greater grammatical accuracy and confidence for subsequent academic coursework.
