This course introduces students to a subject of legal regulation of information relations. Initially, it discusses general provisions, principles, and objectives of information law, parties of information relations and legal liabilities for violations in this sphere. Furthermore, this course gives a strong emphasis on elaborations  international legislations due the role of information technologies (IT) gaining an importance in information relations among physical, legal, and state entities. Role of social media is another aspect of information regulation which asks a lot of questions to be answered in terms of production, collection, storage, processing, using, distribution (sharing, disclosure, provision), and protection of rights (privacy), freedoms (seek, search, receive, share), and information (intellectual properties).
