This course includes study of commercial/ business law and development of skills of applying the knowledge gained in practice. The main task of the course is to teach students to understand the meaning of the law in the field of business and apply legal provisions in different situations. The course consists of interactive lectures and seminars. It includes, inter alia, the following topics: regulation of limited liability companies and joint-stock companies, contracts, taxation, ways to protect the rights and lawful interests of businesses, banking, etc. The course also includes information on legal aspects of e-commerce. With the advanced and increased use of online media, online business is becoming a fast-emerging trend. But being functional online doesn’t mean a business entity can escape legal matters. There are various legal issues associated with e-commerce businesses as well. Such issues include taxes, payment systems, consumers' protection, data protection, intellectual property issues, competition issues, licenses, etc.

To learn this course, a student should have basic knowledge of constitutional law, civil law, civil procedural law. She/ he should have flexible thinking, be able to work independently and in groups, find solutions, analyze situations and legal provisions, etc. The course contains information on different aspects/ procedures of preparing and submitting documents, business processes, interaction with government agencies, etc.
